Welcome to the City of Bakersfield's Remote Public Comment Registration page.

Registration forms for upcoming City Council meetings are available below. This page is for residents and community members who wish to provide public comment remotely on an agenda item or during the general public comment period.

City Council agendas and supporting materials are posted online at least 72 hours before each regular meeting and may also be reviewed at the Office of the City Clerk, 1600 Truxtun Avenue, Bakersfield CA 93301.

How to Participate Remotely

1. Scroll down to find the upcoming City Council meeting at which you wish to speak, then select "Register" and select the item(s) on which you wish to provide comments.

If you provide an email address, you will receive a confirmation email.

Important: Advance registration using the same phone number you will use to call into the meeting is strongly recommended. Registering during the meeting or calling in from a different phone number may result in delays and could cause you to miss the opportunity to comment before your item has been considered.

2. At the start of the meeting, call (661) 529-9511 and enter meeting code 3952.
3. Once connected, remain on the line and listen for your name. No additional phone prompts or actions are required.
4. When your item is called, and it is your turn to speak, City staff will unmute your line and invite you to provide your comments.

If you experience any difficulty registering online, you can still participate. At the start of the meeting, call (661) 529-9511, enter meeting code 3952, then press * for more options, and press 3 to speak with a staff member who can assist you with registration.
